Alexandra says: I am a wedding and family fine art photographer based out of Rochester, NY. I am Mom to a 1 year old girl and 3 year old boy. I grew up in Pittsford, NY, and went to the Rochester Institute of Technology, about 20 minutes away. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Photography graduating at the top of my class, and moved to New York City the day after my graduation ceremony. I made my start as a freelancer in the commercial photography industry. Which is where I met my husband. We were both working on the set of an advertising shoot for HBO boxing. I was the digital technician and Michael, my husband, was the lighting assistant. Throughout the years I worked as a studio manager, digital technician, retoucher, producer, and even began to shoot small editorials for publications like Ladies Home Journal and Parents Magazine. But I found my true calling in Wedding Photography. After 10 years in NYC(16 for my husband) we decided to move back to Rochester. We had already had our first child and quickly realized we were better suited for a different lifestyle. Now our business has made a huge base in the Rochester/Western NY State/Finger Lakes market, and we now have two kiddos to keep alive, and as they say, “the struggle is real.” 🙂
